A Pair of Blue Eyes is the story of ElfrideSwancourt who prefers to proceed in the path of fate, lives in England and has gorgeous blue eyes. She is forced to choose between two very different men. One of these, Stephen Smith, is a young architect and the other man is Henry Knight, an older man who is an essayist and a reviewer from London. Although Elfride puts an end to her relationship with Stephan, she finds it hard to persuade Henry, the man she loves. Henry, who cannot accept that she had any other lover other than himself before, does not realize that he is spiritually dragging Elfride down the cliff. When both Stephen and Harry understand the value of her, who knows, it can be too late for everything.
